What is proofreading?
People often ask for proofreading when they actually require copyediting.
Proofreading does not include any improvements to the writing. It is simply the process of checking through the final draft (proof) to ensure that it is free of errors and ready to go to print or be put live.
This includes checking and amending:
- Spelling
- Punctuation
- Layout
