Experience and Qualifications

Creative Writing degree and MA

I have a First Class Honours Degree in Creative Writing with Drama Studies, and a Master’s degree in Creative Writing. A short story that I wrote as part of the coursework for my MA was published in the anthology Overheard: Stories for Reading Aloud, edited by Jonathan Taylor and published by Salt.

Copywriter for Boots

I have worked as a digital copywriter for Boots, writing product descriptions for the website. This involved writing copy from scratch, working with product samples, and amending copy sent by suppliers.

Digital marketing agency experience

I have spent four years working at digital marketing agencies, where I worked on search engine optimisation (SEO), content marketing, conversion rate optimistion (CRO) planning and writing regular blog content, and lots more of the marketing mix. These positions involved working with and writing for a variety of different clients in different sectors.

Writing and proofreading for JaME

I worked voluntarily for the website JaME-world.com for six years, writing, proofreading and editing news articles, live reports, interviews and more. This involved working with non-native English speakers and allowed me to hone my proofreading skills.
